I’m Richard Anderson, the proud owner of Newbern Excel.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

When it came to my career, I always imagined being in control of what I did. As I have a creative mind, I didn’t want to limit my capabilities, so when the opportunity to excel on my own presented itself, I wasted no time and dove right in.

I choose the marketing industry as it’s a quick-paced business, and I was intrigued by the positive energy surrounding it. I thought it would be impossible to have a bad day in an environment like this, and it was especially with the right mindset. When I look back, I see all of the hard days as a marketer were actually stepping stones instead of challenges.

While training to launch my career in this industry, I worked with several bright-minded individuals who taught me so much. I am grateful for the patience all of my mentors had with me as it enabled me to grow into a good leader who looks out for others.

I launched Newbern Excel in December 2018, and it was the best decision of my career. But, as it was my first ever business, I was nervous and excited about the possibilities in store for me. In the first year, I managed to get the hang of running my own company with some guidance and the employment of advanced marketing tools and resources that make my business a lot easier.

In the last few months, I’ve been able to network more and grow my business significantly. However, to get ahead, in addition to good communication, the core fundamentals of a good leader and driven individual are what really helped me push through. 

As a marketing expert, my goal is to work for others and enable them to help themselves. Through my efforts, clients can strategically position their offerings in the market and connect their audience emotionally to their products and services. That way, they engage customers and stand out from the noise in their respective markets.

Besides helping businesses flourish, I also enjoy my work as I get to choose my clients and my team. When it comes to my team, I only work with people I am excited to see every single day, and I am usually excited to see my team because they are honest, passionate, and cooperative. Working with them is exciting as they are not afraid to test their limits, and they always have creative ideas to push our business forward.

Since the inception of my business in 2018, I have seen many successes, which I attribute to the efforts of my team. Additionally, my ability to keep going, willingness to work hard, and desire to deliver value have enabled us to excel. My personal experience has enabled me to build a relentless attitude that pushes me through challenging times and helps me appreciate each second I spend at work.

Although I have had several accomplishments in the last year, the most satisfying one was bringing my dad from Spain to Cancún, Mexico, for a conference, where he got to see me win the award for Rookie Business of the year. Sharing this win with him was an incredible moment for me as he was proud of my accomplishments and happy to see me make it on my own.

Besides my love for marketing, I also enjoy surfing whenever I have the chance to. I usually surf in Dallas as there is a big artificial surf park here, and it’s only a couple hours from where I live! During my free time, I like educating myself on new ideas that help me expand my mindset. I also read books and hang out with friends on my days off. Additionally, I dedicate a great deal of my free time to my parents and my sister.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.
